It's hard to believe we are getting closer to the puppies go home date! It has gone by so fast!
The puppies have been eating TLC puppy food. We recommend that the puppies stay on this food for at least a few months (preferably 5), so they don't get digestive issues. Puppies are already under stress from transitioning to a new family and being away from their litter mates, and we want to prevent anymore stress to their system.
TLC can only be ordered online and it ships free to your door. (usually takes 2 business days to receive)
You will be receiving an email soon where you can place an order. You get a $5.00 off coupon and a personalized tag when you order. If you don't receive a link, you can get the offer here.

In your folder, I have stapled a small packet of FortiFlora probiotics powder. Add a small pinch of the powder to each meal. Your folder includes:
puppy schedule, puppy go home instructions, puppy care handout, 30 day free insurance through Trupanion ( has to be activated within 24 hours of brining your puppy home) and a Eidap tag that is linked to your puppy's microchip.
What's included in your puppy packs.
A small bag puppy food, pumpkin puree, toy, comfort blanket, collar, training clicker, pine pellets (for potty training) and a TLC gift pack.
I'm not sure how much each puppy is eating as they all eat together. I suggest putting 1 cup of food in their bowl in the morning. I give them 20 minutes to eat or until they have had enough and walked away. Give it to them for their lunch, then dinner etc. If they have finished it all and are looking for more, then you'll need to increase it. If there is left overs after their last meal, you can decrease the amount you're giving them.
*Please note that as your puppy grows, you will have to increase the amount you feed.
Litter: The puppies are trained to go potty on pine pellets. I have included a small bag in their puppy packs. Put the pellets in your yard where you want him/her to go. The pellets will dissolve once it gets wet and disappear into the ground.
.
* I will be sending home our puppy pack with the families after puppy selection.

We have started the puppies on hard kibble today. We are continuing with their exposure exercises.
Sound desensitizing: thunderstorms, fireworks, vacuum, banging, baby crying, door bell, knocking, traffic, music,
dogs barking, 10 step handling, outdoor activities, crate exposure, car rides, bath, blow dry (high velocity dryer), grooming (brush, comb, clippers) and weekly nail trims.
I'll have their 6 week pictures posted tomorrow.
August 30
The puppies are 5 weeks old today.
We've been working on sound desensitizing, crate exposure and car exposure.
The puppies will be going outside for the first time today.
August 24
The puppies are doing great! They turned 4 week on Friday. The time is going by so fast. We have started the puppies on mush. We are adding new things to their curriculum every day. So far, we have been desensitizing them to thunderstorm sounds, vacuum noises and music. The sounds start off low and they get louder as they get older. They have been introduced to toys of different shapes and sizes, bubble wrap, blocks and small balls. As they get older, the size of the items grow.
The theme for this litter is:
"Garden Patch"
August 14
The puppies are becoming more active and their ears have opened.
We have also started their sound desensitizing which will help them adjust to different noises as they grow.
August 8
The puppies all have their eyes opened and are starting to walk around.
August 2
The puppies are a week old today!
They are all doing great and gaining weight.
July 30
We started the puppies ENS and ESI training. We do this from day 3 through day 16.
July 26
Kahlua and River's puppies have arrived!
For the first couple of days, we do minimal handling with the puppies. We want to give Kallie time to bond with her puppies. The only handling we do for the first 3 days is taking their weights to make sure they are all gaining.
